Marriage Retreat in Michigan
Grow closer at a fun, safe, kid-less weekend!
If you’ve attended a retreat with Matt & Lanita Boyers then you know this weekend will include lots of fun, laughter, relevant stories and practical help for your marriage. We invite and encourage you to come and join us for another retreat of rest, laughter, encouragement, practical instruction and personal testimonies of how it can work. The teaching will be material that will inject practical help in your communication and hope in your marriage.
How your marriage will grow
It seems that marriage, along with so many things in our world, is broken. Many couples are opting out of marriage just to avoid the deep disappointment that can result if marriage fails. Marriage is a commitment that carries expectations but when expectations go unmet there is disappointment, and that leads to anger. Unresolved anger leads to destruction, separation and divorce. That’s why it is so important for married couples to skillfully manage and resolve anger in their relationship.
At the 2014 Your Marriage and Anger retreat you’ll learn how anger arises in your marriage, how to recognize and manage it before it becomes destructive, how forgiveness trumps anger and how to avoid venting anger to one another in the first place. The Bible provides some incredibly practical tools about resolving anger in positive ways, how to manage expectations and why disappointment that leads to anger happens in the first place.
Anger is a part of every marriage but anger doesn’t need to destroy any marriage.
