Ice Camp Youth Winter Retreats started this past weekend at Miracle Camp and Retreat Center. More than 170 youth and sponsors enjoyed the music of Attaboy and the challenging messages of Brian Pruitt. This year we have more than 1800 people registered for these 6 retreat weekends. All sorts of winter activities are available from tobogganing, to ice skating, to playing snow football under the lights as shown above!
Congratulations to Alex Moore for the winning photograph for our Ice Camp 2008 Photography contest. As winner of this year’s competition he has won a free Ice Camp registration at a weekend retreat next year!
Here are some other honorable mention photographs that we also noticed…
The first snowfall of the year brought 3 inches to the ground here in West Michigan on Monday. Over the past few days a couple more inches have been added creating a beautiful December in the area.
Jon Classen, our outdoor adventure coordinator, has the snow gun fired up and is covering the toboggan run with lots of snow for Ice Camps.
Nearly 100 students accepted Christ for the first time at our Ice Camps this year! God worked in powerful ways each week through the work of many sponsors, volunteers, speakers, and bands.
More than 1300 students and 200 leaders had a great time this winter at Miracle Camp. It was great having more than a foot of snow for most of the retreats this year and students enjoyed the toboggan run, broomball, snow football, and other snow games!
Please continue to pray for the students that made committments at these weekends. We are looking forward already to what God will do next year at these retreats.
