In order to help subside rumors that are circulating, we have issued the following health update.

In the past weeks there has been illness at camp as there is in many places in the midwest.  Some campers were sent home with flu-like symptoms and others developed the symptoms after their arrival at home.  Some of those students have been diagnosed with Influenza A.  Symptoms include headache, fever, and sore throat. 

We are working closely with the health department, and they are in agreement with our current course of action which includes, but is not limited to, isolating the campers at the first sign of illness, sending campers home, aggressive hand-washing, extensive disinfecting of “sick rooms” and the entire camp at each week’s end, etc. People who are very young, very old, or who have extenuating medical conditions may be more susceptible to this virus.
